About Us
Over Two Decades of Dedicated Foot Care
Frenchs Forest Podiatry was established in 2000 with a clear mission: to provide high-quality, accessible podiatry to our local community. For over 25 years, we’ve proudly helped people of all ages—from young children to active adults and seniors—achieve better movement, less pain, and improved foot health.
Our principal podiatrist brings over 30 years of international experience to the clinic, having worked across private practice, hospital settings, and multidisciplinary teams. We’re proud to offer a personalised, patient-first approach backed by clinical expertise.
Principal Podiatrist
Colin O’Connor
Colin began his career in the ski and mountaineering industries before earning his BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Southampton. His diverse experience spans the NHS in the UK, neurology and musculoskeletal rehabilitation teams, and private practice in Sydney since 2009.
For eight years, Colin consulted in a specialist Heel Pain clinic across Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, with a sole focus on heel pain–related injuries. This has given him extensive experience treating conditions such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, and Sever’s disease.
He has a special interest in gait issues and foot biomechanics, bringing a practical, down-to-earth style to every consultation. Outside of work, Colin enjoys skiing, rugby, and running, and is a proud dad of two.
Our Team
Janine
After a successful career in business and the tertiary education sector, Janine transitioned into podiatry to pursue her passion for health and wellbeing. She has a particular interest in the ageing foot and helping older adults stay mobile, but enjoys treating patients of all ages.
Janine is dedicated to reducing foot discomfort and supporting long-term mobility. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Isobel
Isobel completed her Bachelor of Podiatry at the University of Newcastle and went on to complete an Honours degree in Health Sciences, focusing on Paediatric Biomechanics. She is passionate about all areas of podiatry, with a special interest in diabetic foot care.
Isobel has worked in high-risk foot clinics at both Westmead and John Hunter Hospitals. A beach lover at heart, she enjoys spending her free time by the water and staying active outdoors.
